- Brush teeth twice a day with a fluoride tooth paste
- Brush teeth for 2 minutes.
- If you are to rush, don’t brush as rushing damages enamel on teeth and causes recession of the gums
- Electric tooth brushes can give a cleaner mouth.
- Use a tongue scraper regularly.
- Floss daily as food deposits between teeth can lead to periodontal disease and or halitosis (bad breath)
- Drink plenty of mineral water to hydrate and wash away food debris
- Avoid sugary snacks in between meals, opt for healthy options like carrot sticks
- Avoid acidic drinks as they dissolve tooth enamel
- Eat fruits and vegetables for the anti-oxidants that boost the immunity in the mouth and the body
- Use a fluoride mouthwash daily to prevent tooth decay
- Visit the dentist every six months
